Reviews of The Granary

"Type in the postcode into your sat-nav and it should bring you directly to a group of holiday cottages on Nant Ucha farm. We stayed in the Granary and we were given a nice welcome by Heather. There was a bowl of mint imperials, 2 brownies, a jug of milk and 6 eggs from the farm to welcome us. Both beds were comfortable. As it states in the apartment information the double bed is against a wall so its a bit of a problem if you both need to get up in the night. So I slept in the little room with a single bed. This room is set up and decorated for a young child, with the window screwed shut and star shaped night light. Despite this I slept very well. The apartment is reached via a short outside staircase and has a small veranda but no chairs on the veranda. The living room/ kitchen is compact but very well equipped with an electric oven and induction hob, toaster, microwave and large fridge/freezer. There is a large TV which was easy to use. There is good wifi on an unsecured network. The bathroom is small with a single shower which had a good pressure though the shower did tend to fill up if used at full power. It was also a bit slippy. The main problem was that there was no where to put the soap or shampoo except on the floor. This was a problem for me as I cannot bend down. The best feature of our stay was Heather and her father who were both very friendly and helpful."

"The hosts were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel totally at home in this fabulous barn conversion. The property is excellent value for money and offers everything needed for a relaxing break away from the busy distractions of life. Stunning scenery, fabulous walks, great local pubs and the gift of free range eggs and home made brownies from the hosts really set this properly apart. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return soon. "

"Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome pack. Having briefly chatted with the owner about our needs as a family we found travel cots kitted out, a high chair, booster seat, stair gate, baby bath and toddler books and DVDs. We couldn't have been better looked after. On top of this the family allowed our toddler to play on their outdoor toys which was a major hit! The farm itself was very safe and the dogs were friendly. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and the TV was huge! All in all the accommodation was small but perfectly formed and in a beautiful setting. All of the suggestions we were given for places to visit or walks to go on were brilliant and we particularly enjoyed just going off and exploring the fields, river and woods surrounding the farm. I would definitely recommend this holiday to anyone with young children."

"I do not know the current Tourist Star Grade for The Granary, however it is well worthy of your highest accolade. We had a wonderful welcome and delicious treats left along with milk and fresh eggs. The property is ideally placed for touring Llangollen and the surrounding area. The property has first class facilities plus extra touches, for example; a selection of DVD's (a good range for all family) and literature/information of places to visit and activities in the area."
