Reviews of Dolley Farm Cottage

"We have just spent another super two weeks at this cottage. If you are after peace and tranquility this is the place. I am not a horse rider but love the close proximity of the horses. Full use of a covered hot tub up to 8.00 p.m. (only fair as it is adjacent to the owners lounge). The owners (Neil and Claire) could not be more friendly and accommodating. Places to visit The Elan Valley and Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding Station. Pub dining and restaurants within reasonable distance. Pringle and Pixie (Whippets) and Buttons (Jack Russell) always about which were welcome by our Westie (Baxter). Our 3rd visit here and very hopeful of visiting again next year."

"The owners were very friendly on arrival, also buttons and Pringles (jack Russell & lercher) there to greet us too. Stables were right opposite the cottage which was nice. We arrived for a week for my 25th birthday, along with my partner, two friends & foxy the dog to run away from day to day life and I must say, I must of spent a whole week just in the bed alone, comfy isn't the word! :) the hot-tubs are always fun, this one had its own little room with a small gym but 8pm was clock-off time due to it being next to their living room (which wasn't all that bad really) Some picturesque places to be seen, clun castle, warren wood (break-neck) waterfall, Knighton has plenty of places to eat out although we didn't try any. There's a very handy shop called tuffins (lefty, righty, lefty) out of the cottage drive, about 5 mile down the road."

Very peaceful setting with plenty of places to walk the dog, who enjoyed the river immensely. The owners left you alone to enjoy the peace but were lovely and always helpful. Plenty to do in the area although local shops limited food wise but adequate. A lot of pubs allowed dogs which was helpful when eating out. The hot tub was fabulous especially after going horse riding! Definitely want to go back, can't wait!"

The barn has everything you could ever need! The furnishings was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The hot tub was very very nice, lots of bubbles and lovely and hot! I would have liked to sip some bubbles whilst in the tub but understandably no eating/drinking is allowed whilst in the tub! The owners were very friendly and welcoming, even showed us where our dogs could go for a run and if they got dirty there was a hot shower that we could use to rinse them off! Couldn't ask for more, we will return."

"Stayed here for a week in August with my husband, daughter and dog. The owners live next door, and were so welcoming and friendly, and we were invited to go wherever we wished on the property, great for exercising the dog! The standard of accommodation was excellent, with more than enough storage. The room with the hot tub also has a treadmill, exercise bike and air walker all of which we were free to use, but note you have to go outside to access this as it's between the cottage and owners house, so take your flip flops! Wifi access was adhoc, which although not a major issue it meant we had a teenager "in the room". There were plenty of board games on hand to play if wanted, and lots of information on things to do locally. Would highly recommend to anyone."
