Welcome to The Talant. This impressive barn conversion lies at the foot of Welsh hills in the small village of Meifod, and can sleep eight guests in four bedrooms.

Location

The Talant is a stone and slate converted barn rested next to a working farm in the Powys village of Meifod. Boasting four bedrooms; three doubles, one master with en-suite shower room, and a twin room with zip/link beds, the property sleeps eight in total. Inside is also a family bathroom, kitchen/diner and sitting room with woodburning stove. To the outside is an enclosed garden with lawn, patio with furniture and hot tub. Parking is off-road and there is access to many attractions in the area including Powis Castle and Gardens. The Talant offers something for everyone in a lovely part of Wales.

Meifod is enveloped by ragged hills and greenery, with attractive houses dressed in ivy, situated about 8 miles north-west of Welshpool. There is a pub, church, football team, school and convenience store with a post office. Llanfair Caereinion is one of the smallest towns in Powys with Llanfair Caereinion Carnival and the Llanfair Show. Welshpool offers shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a restored cock fighting pit and Heritage Trail. Visit Powis castle, or enjoy a cruise along the Montgomery canal. Further afield is Shrewsbury, with its half-timbered Tudor buildings and lovely shopping experiences.
