Resting between Caersws and Llanbrynmair is the small village of Carno, best known for its connection to Laura Ashley, whose first factory was in the village. Within this village, you will also find a local shop and a welcoming pub. Close by is the larger village of Caersws, where you will find a railway station, church and shop, pubs, butcher and a Post Office. The surrounding area offers boasts many outdoor activities too, including walking, cycling and fishing.
