The town is home to a number of independent shops, including antique and book stores, as well as a good selection of pubs and restaurants catering for a variety of tastes, including a speciality in local seafood. From the town there is easy access to many places of interest including Beaumaris and Bangor, along with several beaches and the Snowdonia National Park for those outdoor enthusiasts.
