Reviews of Artro View

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was clean and comfortable and had a real homely feel. The garden was a real sun trap and we enjoyed having a meal out here in the good weather. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and more - the jacuzzi bath was well used after climbing Snowdon! The location is idyllic with a village shop just round your corner if needed. It makes a perfect base for little walks to the beach and around the countryside locally as well as being able to explore further around Wales - it was about an hour from Snowdon. We would thoroughly recommend this place. "

"The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped and really feels like a home from home. The beds are comfy. We had a great two weeks here in April. No wi-fi but I look upon that as an advantage. The cottage is in Llanbedr which is a small and friendly village near to Harlech and its castle. There are several beaches nearby and nice walks from the village including to the Nantcol falls. The Victoria Inn is a stones throw away and has good food and beer. There is also a hotel who do good bar meals. There is a small shop around the corner which stocks the essentials like milk and bread."

"It was the first time we had visited this part of Wales and Artro View was the perfect location to base ourselves with so much to see and so many beautiful walks close by. We had to look no further than the river right outside the cottage to see a dipper, a kingfisher, a heron and beautiful grey wagtails - a real treat. The cottage itself provided everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable, and on a couple of evenings when the temperature dropped, it became warm and cosy very quickly once the heating was on. We had a wonderful time and felt very at home"

"We had a great week. The cottage is very comfortable especially the beds and sofas. The rest of the house is very well equipped and clean throughout. The owner has created the feel of a home away from home with plenty of games, books and dvd's. We had great weather ( july ) whilst we were staying but can imagine the fire and spa bath being very welcome in the autumn and winter months. The village has 3 very good pubs and a friendly shop all within a short walk. Excellent beaches, castles, towns, mountains and visitor attractions are all within a short drive"

"Artro View is a wonderful little cottage. It is positioned perfectly for visiting all the sights and places of interest. The cottage has all the amenities you would need and even a jacuzzi bath, which is lovely. We really enjoyed our little break, and it brought back some memories as we had previously visited Llanbedr some 20+ years ago with our 2 children. The only comment we have is that due to the exceptional hot weather, a fan would have been nice for the bedroom as the windows are tiny (but very much in keeping with the cottage) but this is in no way a criticism. Thankyou for a lovely holiday, and we shall be back. Xx"

"We had a great family break at Artro View. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The local pubs have great food and are family friendly and the nearby beaches are beautiful. The property has a spa bath and a log burner so we enjoyed coming in from a bike ride down the Mawddach trail, a good soak and then settling down in front of the fire. Highly recommended"

"A comfortable & warm cottage with top class beds. It was so well located near the centre of the village but just off the main road, thus avoiding traffic & noise. The village was well located for the mountains & coast."

"A very pleasant place to stay, very cosy but certainly not small. The local amenities were very good, the local pub just a minutes walk away did very good food. An ideal place for total relaxation or a base for touring. Two teenagers didn't even bother with the TV which says something. Highly recommend this cottage."

"This cottage was absolutely lovely, as it was above all spacious and comfortable. Everything you could have wished for was there, and it was beautifully clean. The only thing was, the lighting in the bedroom was not so that you could read in bed easily, which we love to do. It was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. The village was attractive and you could buy the basic things you needed. It was in a good position to explore North Wales and we went on five steam railways which was wonderful. The service we received fro Sykes and from the owner was excellent. Thank you!"

"We had a lovely stay. The kitchen was well equipped though problems at first turning on the oven. However the Owner was very helpful with our query and prior to the holiday. Possible improvement - think the garden needs a bit of attention/access could be improved. Not as private as hoped for. However, would stay again as location handy for local area, shop, pub and river walk."
