Reviews of The Shire Hut

"This is my fourth visit to this fabulous place. We had previously come with my dog bud sadly he passed away in February. As always the hut was immaculate. Full of every single thing you could possibly need or want plus wine ,fresh bread, jam, cake in fact Kath the owner thinks of every thing..One day when we were our we came back and Kath showed me to the paddock.on a tree she had put a gold plaque in remembrance of my dog Lennox..I can't believe that she did this for us I was totally shocked by how kind Kath is..This holiday was a total break from every day life..I can't put into words how much I enjoy staying here and I would recommend this amazing place to everyone (hopefully not everyone or else I won't be able to book again,) If you want a beautiful hut filled with luxuries. a beautiful setting and an absolute amazing owner who will do anything for anyone then I urge you to book either into this hut or the Clyde's dale which is next door.I have given Kath 5/5 and if I could award more stars then I would...we will be back again and again and again.. Absolutely bliss from start to finish ??????"

"From the moment we arrived it was going to be a little break we would never forget. Kath the owner met us and showed us round our little home for the next five days. I just couldn't believe my eyes, it was set with another Shire hut at the side of a farm where you could see goats playing, duck, geese and sheep. Inside the hut there was all you needed, a bathroom, a little kichen, a log burner and in the corner was a really comfortable bed, it was all so cosy, particularly when we returned from a day in Prestatyn or Llandudno to sit in front of the log burner, with our two little dogs. All this was enhanced by the little welcome gifts from Kath, she had thought of everything to make your holiday a bit special, there was wine, chocolate, eggs, bread, Welsh cakes and more. I could go on and on about the beautiful white towels, etc, etc. We loved it and look forward to a return visit"

"So we were looking to find a place that would be pet friendly and have all the amenities that a human also requires and this place does all of that and more. We were welcomed by the lovely Kath and shown around the shire hut. We had a lovely welcome card, welsh cakes and some prosecco and freshly laid eggs to greet us. The hut was great and had everything we needed. It had a good sized kitchen, a wood burning stove and even a double bed. Our dog loved it outside the hut as there was a massive field she could explore and sniff. I loved it as well as it was totally enclosed so we felt safe letting her explore and didn't have to worry she would be going onto a road or getting into trouble. I'd recommend this to anyone who is struggling to find a place that is both dog and person friendly."

"We have had the most wonderful holiday staying in the Shire Hut. When we arrived we were welcomed and shown around by the lovely Kath and found all sorts of treats waiting for us. All very much appreciated.... Welsh cakes and Prosecco are a wonderful way to start your holiday! We have had such a relaxing time knowing that Nell could explore outside as much as she likes without getting into mischief. She has sniffed every inch of the field many times over and loved making sure that the chickens, ducks, goats and sheep were all where she left them last time she checked. Sitting on the deck watching the great variety birds on the feeders provided so many brilliant photo opportunities and so relaxing. Even a couple of rainy days didn't effect our enjoyment. Staying in, warm and cozy with the log burner lit and a DVD on, switching off from the hussle and bustle of everyday life. Nell would even venture out in the rain, something she never does at home. A great surprise was that although she was a bit wet, she didn't come back all muddy. So a quick rub down with her towel and she was good as new. Everything you could possibly need for a lovely relaxing stay. We will be back."
