Reviews of Arfor

"This was our 2nd stay at Arfor and used it as a base for exploring the Welsh coast towns/villages of Aberaeron, New Quay, Aberporth, Aberystwyth all within 30 minutes drive. A lovely family/pet friendly cottage, spacious ground floor accommodation, with well equipped kitchen, relaxing sitting room & cosy log-burner and a handy utility/boot room for dogs returning after a riverside walk or day at the beach. All in all a real home from home, hope to return again soon."

"This was our 1st stay at Arfor, but having stayed at another of the owners holiday cottages we opted to book the larger Arfor to accommodate growing teenagers and a couple of dogs. We were not disappointed, the property has been refurbished to the highest of standards. Loads of room for everyone to have their own space including a utility/boot room for our dogs to sleep in crates. All in all a real home from home, well furnished and made very cosy by the extra features like wood burning stove. The only down side is parking, tight squeeze for 2 small cars, but only space for 1 large estate or SUV and felt parking on the road a bit risky. We field gateway to safely park our second vehicle few meters away down the road."

"This is a very comfortable cottage which is beautifully furnished. The garden was private and perfect for our dogs to play in. There was everything in the cottage to make it a home from home. The log burner in the huge living room was toasty warm which makes it a good winter venue as well. The location was good as it is close to a variety of tourist attractions. The owner was lovely and very helpful. We will be returning and would highly recommend it."

"What a wonderful place! The cottage has been lovingly restored, pictures displayed in the kitchen show how it looked beforehand, and decorated with special touches such as wooden floors/doors, a free-standing bath and rain shower. It was nice to sit in the conservatory in an evening with the candles on, looking onto the garden which had lovely solar lights. In the morning we observed Jays and Red Kites flying over, fantastic! The cottage is ideal for dog owners as the floors are all wooden, the garden is secure and there are lovely country walks for both you and your dog. The attention to detail in the property was second to none, kitchen was well equipped and we ate in every night. The wood burner was so cosy, relaxing with a glass of wine after a long day exploring the area, which was beautiful. We would definitely stay at Arfor again. "
