Reviews of Yr Hen Ffald

"A beautifully designed and built cottage in a fantastically rural setting. Close to The bustling city of Swansea, the beautiful beaches of the Gower, (less than 40 mins away) Yet it is set in a lovely tranquil location where one can relax if so desired. The cottage has everything one could want, cooker, fridge, freezer, dish washer, clothes washer. Wifi and televisions a most charming owner who is very helpful and the welcoming package of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, welsh cakes lots of brochures/leaflets detailing what amusements, places of interest, etc. I truly cannot fault it and would strongly recommend it for any family or couple. Will be back next year hopefully."

"This is the best place in this part of Wales to stay. The bungalow caters for every need. Comfortable, spacious, clean, and everything in it is of high quality and very tastefully decorated. Dawn caters for everyone and the welcome pack including Milk is always very welcome for a cup of tea on arrival. We have visited 3 times and have loved every minute. Highly recommended"

"We booked Yr Hen FFald for the Christmas period - five adults and a 6-year old boy. Everything was spotless when we arrived, with everything that we would need for a wonderful Christmas holiday - there were ever Christmas decorations everywhere! Cooking facilities were ideal and there was plenty of space to store all our food in cupboards, a good sized refrigerator and a large freezer, plus the extra space in the utility room and garage. There were plenty of games of all sorts to entertain the 6-year old, including the pool table in the garage. The beds were comfortable and warm, there was plenty of seating in the living room and lots of space around the dining table. We don't have a dish washer at home, so it was lovely to have one to use at the cottage - saved a lot of time, of course, and much appreciated! A big 'thank you' to Dawn, our wonderful, friendly host who didin't bat en eyelid when she saw the mountain of re-cyclable things and the other refuse that we had managed to generate. We can thoroughly recommend Yr Hen Ffald for anyone who wants to stay in this beautiful part of Wales."

"We booked the barn conversion and the bungalow together for a long weekend stay for our family. My daughter, her husband and two very young children stayed in this property and it met all their needs. The walk in shower was especially popular! My adult children went quad biking just down the road for a couple of hours which was enjoyed by all and value for money. The grandchildren and I walked down the country lane picking blackberries. The weather wasn't brilliant but the bungalow was very warm and cosy. We hope to be back."
