Reviews of Sardis Cottage

"If you're looking for a slice of rural Welsh paradise, perhaps interrupted only by the Red Kites soaring above the fields surrounding the cottage, then look no further. Sardis has been tastefully restored to senstively blend rustic charm with more contemporary features and facilities, including a easy to use log burner and wifi robust enough to stream Amazon's Jack Ryan! Dog friendly and within easy reach of National Trust sites like Henrhyd Falls, Dolaucothi Gold Mines, Dinefwr forest and castle, Pendine sands and Pen-Y-Fan, we spent a week here and could not have had a better time. The owners are a little way down the country lane from the cottage so on hand if needs be but are certainly in no way intrusive - in fact most of the time it felt as if we were the only people for miles in any direction - bliss... To be honest, we don't often return to places but we'd definitely be happy to come back here and, if a 'get away from it all' break is what you're after, we'd would recommned Sardis Cottage in a heartbeat."

"Absolutely stunning location. In the middle of nowhere so perfect for those who just want to get away from it all. The cottage itself is very nicely renovated and comfortable. Really enjoyed reading at the gorgeous patio and the reclining sun loungers were just a bliss for my bad back. "

"We stayed with our two small children for 4 nights. Its a beautiful cottage which we really enjoyed staying in. The interior is very smart, clean and much more spacious than the photos make it look. It has a fully equipped kitchen, log burner with some logs and kindling provided which made the chilly March evenings very cosy and a comfortable lounge. Upstairs both rooms are comfortable although ceilings are quite low. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful; rolling hills, trees and far enough from any major roads for total peace and quiet. The owners were extremely welcoming and came by to check we were ok (it snowed heavily whilst we were there). The only thing to be aware of is that the stairs are quite narrow and steep and there are various supporting beams upstairs which have to be negotiated; not a problem for us but might be if staying with someone with reduced mobility. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for somewhere quiet in the country for a few days. Definitely recommend it, hope to come back again."

"Fabulous little cottage with stunning views. Extremely well appointed and very stylish. Lovely little hamper on arrival. Owners very pleasant and helpful and dog-friendly. Would definitely go again. Could have sat on the patio and watched the buzzards soaring all day! Not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues as stairs are quite narrow and steep."
