Reviews of Blue Harbour

"We have visited Burry Port many times as we have family who live on the harbour. We arranged to rent the Blue Harbour house from Kay who was nothing but helpful and friendly during the booking process. Burry Port is a small harbour village but with good travel links including a train station literally 5 minutes walk away with direct links to London. There is a small selection of shops near the house which provide everything you would need during your stay and there are also a good selection of pubs/restaurants providing good food and atmosphere. The Blue Harbour house is a beautiful house and is decorated with all sorts of local artwork and pottery making for a very comfortable stay. We loved the fact that if we didn't want to we didn't have to use the car during our stay as there is easy access to long stretches of beautiful coastline and there is a coastal walk which takes you right to Pembrey Country Park where you can simply walk in the fresh air or there are a number of activities which our children have used over the years such as sledging, dry ski slope, horse riding and much more. Burry Port is a little undiscovered little bit of heaven and there is some fantastic scenery to go and visit locally whatever the weather. We would definitely stay at the Blue Harbour house again it was a fantastic place to stay even if we are a little biaise!!"

"The charming welcome matched the cottage, which was delightful and generously equipped. We hardly used the car, buses and trains are close by, yet the location is peaceful and feels remote."

"We received a warm welcome from the owners when we arrived. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard."

"We have been renting holiday homes for over 25 years and this was the best by a long way, we were welcomed by the owner Kay who was very friendly and helpful, she had provided milk and a very welcome bottle of wine. The house is extremely well decorated, the rooms are spacious and bright. The kitchen is extensively equiped and there is everything you could wish for in a holiday home. There is a parking space at the back with access into the garden or on the road and a large car park nearby. The house is right near the harbour and a few minutes walk from the shops (Co-Op butchers bakers and several take aways) and the pubs. There is plenty of scope for walking and lots to see locally. There are beautiful beaches nearby. I would recommend this property to everyone and hope to return soon."

"We have been renting holiday properties for over 25 years and this one out shone all the others. The owner was very helpful and gave us a warm welcome. The house was beautifully furnished and decorated and there were all the facilities we could ever want. It is in a outstanding part of Wales with beautiful scenery all around. There is easy access to some great beaches and historic sites. Burry Port has all the shops you need. All in all a fantastic place and we would love to return. "

"A very good location for exploring South Wales. The house is modern and extremely well furnished and equipped for 6 people; the welcome bottles of milk and wine and flowers a nice touch. Just a few too many ornamental features which make the rooms and surfaces a little cluttered. Wifi access would have been useful. The owner is happy to offer help and advice should it be needed. All in all a great place to stay."
