Note: Both rivers in garden are not fenced off.

Tyndrum began bringing cattle from the Highlands to markets in central Scotland. Its importance for travel in the Highlands is still there today with two railway stations and a petrol station on the road which divides just north of the village to go to either Oban or north to Rannoch Moor. Tyndrum has a Tourist Information Centre, restaurants, a pub and the Green Welly Stop with restaurant. For walkers, the West Highland Way passes through the village and continues north to the majestic Rannoch Moor and spectacular Glencoe.
