Reviews of Todlaw Farm House

"We use Sykes Holiday Cottages a lot for holidays and short breaks in the Borders. Todlaw Farm House is a real find and one we plan to return to. The location is fantastic for peace and quiet and amazing views. The photo showing what looks like neighbouring properties are unused outbuildings so you do have the whole place to yourself and being able to use the bridal path to walk into Jedburgh was a pleasant and added bonus. The owners provided a generous welcome pack full of delicious treats and a vase of delightful spring flowers. The house itself is spacious and immaculate with the perfect balance of traditional and modern decor. We were most comfortable and wanted for nothing. This is a really lovely property and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends."

"We booked this for my mum's 60th birthday and what a find it was! It's a very spacious cottage and clearly very well looked after. I've stayed in a few cottages and this is the cleanest I've stayed in. We had a welcome hamper on arrival which was a very nice surprise to receive. The owner contacted my mum to check we had arrived okay (as it was quite late in the day) which I felt was an extra that was considerate of the owner. Although the cottage is in Jedburgh, it's location means it's not too far away from civilisation, but you feel like the sheep in the field are your only company for miles. Bliss! I would definitely recommend this cottage "

"From arriving here we were in total disbelief of how fabulous this farm house was Beautifully decorated immaculate everything you needed for a wonderful stay in this magical hide away. We had two dogs with us, whom were very sad to leave great scope for walks a massive garden no through traffic and a doggy hamper to welcome them. We toured Jedburgh ate in the Capon Tree and visited the little cafes and bistros it had to offer. But we do have to mention the local butcher. What a great display he had, and we suggest to anyone going to Todlaw he is worth a visit or two. Jedburgh is full of great little shops so shopping was easy a well worth the walk which only took us just under 15min to do. The welcome hamper that we received on arrival was astounding homemade marmalade tray bakes local cheese bread and more. We would not hesitate to say this is the perfect house to stay if your visiting the Scottish Borders. So much so we have already booked again for next year. This Farm House is a credit to this couple, as much as we want you to remain busy we hope there will always be a week or so left for us.Thank you Sharon & Jim Dr A&S Baxter"
