Sunnybank in Isle of Arran

Welcome to Sunnybank. Sunnybank is situated up a steep hill off the main road, giving guests the best of both of worlds by being in the centre of the village, but set in a peaceful location at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Due to its elevated position, the detached property boasts stunning views over Lamlash Bay. On arrival at the property, guests have their own private parking space beside the outside seating area, followed by steps that lead down into the cottage. The seating area looks over the bay, and is a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine and watch the yachts sail in and out of the bay. All rooms lead off the living/dining room which has a large window that looks down over Lamlash Bay. This is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee and take in the stunning sea views. The wood burner makes this room very cosy over the winter months, allowing guests to relax in the evening, after exploring all that Arran has to offer. One of the quirks of this property is that it still has the original coin meter for electricity. The owner has kindly provided the coins and guests may have to feed them into the meter during their stay. Just a short walk into Lamlash and there are bars, restaurants, shops, play park, tennis courts, putting green, pier, beach and golf club. Being on the bus route also makes Sunnybank perfect for a short break, should guests wish to leave their car behind. There are many interesting and varied walks including the challenging Goat Fell, the highest mountain on the island. There are also lovely beaches and National Trust’s Brodick Castle. Beach 220 yards. Shop 550 yards, pub and restaurant 220 yards.
