Oil range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Front lawned garden. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 mins walk, pub 10 mins walk. Location

Newlands is a detached holiday cottage in the small Speyside village of Archiestown. The cottage sleeps eight people and has one double bedroom, two twins, one with adult bunks and two family bathrooms. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with dining area a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is ample off road parking and a front lawned garden. With whisky distilleries to discover, fishing on the River Spey and an abundance of golf courses, Newlands is a superb holiday home in this beautiful region of Scotland.

Archiestown is a pretty Morayshire village to the north of the River Spey. The village is in a designated conservation area and is home to a shop, Post Office, hotel and craft shops. Archiestown is situated on the Malt Whisky Trail, and the famous MacAllan Distillery is to the east and the Cardhu Distillery is to the west. Aberlour, close by, is home to the Walkers Shortbread factory.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

"The situation of the cottage was ideal for us, it also had spectacular views. It is a very attractive cottage with an excellent lounge, very spacious, good burning stove and had a welcoming feel about it. The bedrooms too were spacious and well appointed. We very much enjoyed staying in the cottage as did friends who joined us. "
