Stone Water is a delightful, detached cottage settled in a superb location on the shores of Loch Achilty, three miles from Strathpeffer in the Scottish Highlands. Set over the ground floor with one double bedroom and one twin, this cottage can comfortably sleep four people. There's also a bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with French doors opening onto a front patio garden with furniture. There is also ample off road parking outside this cottage. Fly fishing can be enjoyed on the doorstep, and walking routes and cycle paths can be found within easy reach, whilst for a wonderful day trip, Inverness, Loch Ness or even the Isle of Skye can be easily found from this charming cottage. At the end of a long day, Stone Water provides a calming base to return to.

Often compared to a Bavarian Mountain resort, the picturesque spa village of Strathpeffer owes its growth to the discovery of water springs during the 1700s, and was declared in 1819 to be the healthiest drinking water in Britain! The original Spa Pavilion has been magnificently restored after a period of disuse and now serves as a venue for a variety of events, including concerts, dances, dramas and exhibitions.

"The owner was flexible with dates at the last minute which made this holiday possible. Owner left us a bottle of bubbles and some amazing homemade biscuits for our arrival because this was our honeymoon! There were even balloons on the door. I thought that was really nice. The kitchen and living room area is very modern and cozy. The owner allowed us to bring both our dogs. The cabin was always warm, the heaters are excellent! The owner and her children came to say hello on our first morning, and had text us the night before to make sure we were ok for directions because we were arriving at about 11pm in the fog and ice! Very kind. It was nice to just let the dogs run around in the morning in the grass outside the cabin. We will return to the cottage."

"This was the first time my family and I had rented a property to use as a base for touring Scotland, therefore, we arrived with some trepidation as to what we would find. This was completely unfounded as the property was FANTASTIC. We had contacted the owner, prior to our arrival who had told us which of the three properties we would be allocated. On arrival, she came and introduced herself and her family and stated that if we needed anything, we should go to her house nearby. Until we left, that was all the contact we had. The property was very clean, well furnished with everything we needed, there was no reason to see her again. A very quiet location overlooking Loch Achilty, it was a great place to relax. With a 9 month old Grandson, it was a great surprise to wake up and see ducks that came to the french windows each morning and evening.to be fed. Something, even at that young age, he recognised. Would i go back? Definitely. Would I recommend this property? Definitely and have already done so. "

"Very kind and attentive owners are always on hand if needed. The fresh eggs were delicious, thank you! The cottage is well finished and very comfortable and cosy, with everything you might require provided. The local scenery is beautiful and peaceful, although you need go no further than Loch Achilty, a few yards from the house, where the light reflects on the water in all its moods. Small birds abound and there's a resident wren in the eaves, while ducks come to feed on the grass outside the door. Our dog loved the varied walks close at hand and so did we!"
