Reviews of Hillfoot

"Hillfoot is an absolutely lovely home away from home. Set in beautiful scenery with an incredible view of the hills from the living room. The location is both peaceful with a feel of being "miles from anywhere" but in actual fact is very central for a wide range of family outings within just a few miles which we would highly recommend - highland widlife park, highland folk museum, Landmark adventure park, Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, and both Loch Insh and Loch Morlich beaches and watersports. You will even be in Invernesss in less then an hour. The cottage is large and spacious for a family of 4 - with an extra room for children to play that included lego which brought our 5 year old endless fun. And on the sunny days there is also ample safe garden space for kids to play outdoors. The house is very well equipped for a family including all kitchen equipment that could possibly be needed, as well as utility room with washer and tumbler dryer. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. And the cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. We would highly recommend the cottage and really hope to visit again."

"Just back from a week at Hillfoot. Lovely quiet location in village of Insh but within easy reach of Kingussie. There are walks through the woods on the edge of the village which we thoroughly enjoyed. Really easy to get to all the places we visited...Wildlife Park, Rothiemurchus, Aviemore and beyond. House has a fabulous view from the lounge and lots of wildlife on the doorstep. We missed the deer walking up the path but we did see red squirrel, hare, vole and countless birds all from the house. This was one of the best equipped houses we've had the pleasure of staying in. We are a family of four and fully used the kitchen facilities. There was absolutely everything that we needed and more. There's a utility area with washing machine and dryer which we had to use. So many holiday accommodation places seem to miss the importance of a comfortable bed but I'm delighted to say not here! Great firm but not hard mattress on a king size bed. Slept like a log! The twin beds seemed to be equally comfortable for the kids. In all it's a comfortable and spacious house with all the facilities you could ever need in a holiday house. It's for sure on our come back to list."
