Reviews of Ski View Cottage

"Stayed here last week found the 'Cottage' to be very dated. The electrics are in urgent need of updating although there are 2 showers we were advised not to use them both at the same time as the electrics would trip, seems pointless having 2 showers. On no account use the toilet during the night, very, very noisy and will probably wake the neighbours. Place was clean, beds comfortable, linen and towels were clean and good quality. There is a log fire but only 1 pack of logs and I scuttle of coal had to buy more at the local Tesco. Convenient to local amenities."

"I found this cottage lacking in any charm at all. The double bed was so hard that I had to move rooms and sleep in the single bed. The heating was not on when I got there and because the radiators are so old it was almost impossible to work out if you were switching them up or down. The underfloor heating in the kitchen didn't come on at all while I was there. The listing says there are two bathrooms - one is large bath and toilet and wash basin. The other only has a shower and not even a hand basin. The cottage could do with some TLC - the doors stick There was welcoming beer and shortbread. There is a fridge but no freezer and it would have been useful to have this in the cottage description. The pipes are really noisy. I wouldn't stay again."
