Reviews of Little Ivy

"We booked this off the Sykes recommendation and pictures! Complete waste of time. We arrived late and wish we hadn't of arrived at all! First of all, the front door was broken as there was part of a key stuck in it so we used the back door straight into the filthy kitchen. Worktop was chipped, the hob was absolutely filthy with burnt on food, the floor was sticky. Into the front room, dirt and grime all over floor, table and chairs nothing like what was pictured they were mismatch, personal stuff of the owners under the tv, horrible smell! The bathroom needed a good clean before we could use it, the toilet was leaking, floor tiles all broken and lifting. Bedrooms were full of broken bits like curtain rails etc. Good job we took sleeping bags! The gas canister was located right outside the back door, if it had caught fire we wouldnt be able to get out! No welcome pack which proved a massive issue as we needed to call an ambulance while there. Didnt even know how to turn the hot water on! No garden furniture as advertised and garage was full of broken stuff! Owner didnt seem to care at all or sort the issues out! We visit aviemore annually and have never stayed in such a hell hole! Avoid at all costs "

"When we arrived the bungalow looked a little unloved from the outside we found the keys to get in but were unable to enter tho the front door as there was a broken key or some thong on the lock so had to use the back kitchen door . Oh my god the smell that greeted us was like someone had been to the loo (number 2s) in the sink the kitten cupboards were dirty and sticky with grease the worktop edging was coming away . The front room wasn't any better the room was damp and cold covered on dust and dog hairs blowing in the wind like tumble weed . The main bedroom was also dusty the quilt was heaverly stained with yellow and brown marks the bedding hadn't been changed as the bed sheet was stained with boderly fluids. The piles in the bedroom were cracked and broken one was sticking up 1cm the shower head squirted water on to the electric control unit . The drive was advertised as been able to park to cars on yep this was true if you drive a smart car and stick thin . The windows were very dirty not just on the outside but the inside aswell . So all in all this is not a place we'd be going back to !! The furniure didnt match what were on the photos .The owner ignored all attempts to contact her to discuss the issuse AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. IT WAS JUST PURE FILTHY "

"The bungalow offered everything we needed for a relaxing week during a very cold December. It was clean and warm and great for our dogs with lots of walks from the doorstep. A lovely walk into town in the evening to enjoy a wine in the dog friendly pubs. Will stay again."

"Stay in Aviemore frequently and found this accommodation just what we wanted. Fully enclosed garden which is great for dogs. Property a good size with everything you need. Although some improvements could be made i will definitely be back."

"My other half and myself stayed last week, great views and close by to the shops etc. Although there were let downs, the cutlery and dishes were disgusting, obviously hadn't been cleaned very well. There was only 2 of us but we hoped the 2nd bedroom and wardrobe we could've used was filled with owners stuff. Felt like we were house sitting really. Shower kept cutting out for some reason. The second television and sky was handy for the bedroom."
