Reviews of The Cottage @ Corriness House

"From the moment we arrived to a warm greeting from the owner who also runs the guest house in the grounds to the moment we left we truly felt like we were on a very lovely holiday. The cottage is perfectly positioned in the Village of Poolewe and just a short drive from Gairloch. A cosy and very comfortable cottage with everything you could wish for. I would definitely recommend the cottage and the area for exploring the north of Scotland! A big thank you to the lovely owners for providing such a lovely base for us to stay in."

"Well presented cottage in immaculate condition within 2 mins walking to village shop which provides all your basic needs to self cater. We were two couples and found the cottage extremely spacious for the four of us. Twin rooms are a good size and the ground floor bedroom with bathroom adjacent is a a good size. The owner provided sufficient for one wash in the dishwasher, washing machine, toilet roll everything else you will require to purchase, however the shop is open 9 to 6 and is well stocked."

"Lovely living room, bedroom etc. but main bedroom's headboard backs onto garage which isn't your's to use to put the car into. It is a storage room with laundry etc. for B&B guests to use and a workshop. We were woken up on day one after a 12 hour journey the day before by the garage door being opened and a workman right outside our window with his van at 8.15am and then fence being repaired. The pattern continued with most days being awoken before we wanted to be with the garage being opened and a collection of men outside our bedroom window. If you stand on your private garden furniture you can see the sea. The wifi was awful but perhaps we were unlucky. Seeing as our main search options are detached with wifi, we were very disappointed to pay top dollar for the two things we didn't get -and no discount for 2 people in 6 person property (with 2, 2 seater settees and one armchair). Also, the cottage is at right angles to the B&B and your bedrooms are overlooking the gravel car park. Next time we are off to Strath where we can hopefully have our bedroom window open at night."

The owner was friendly, helpfull and appears to have put a lot of thought into making her guests stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. The property itsself was spotless and tastefully decorated to a high standard with a well equipped kitchen and both showers and bath. I look forward to returning!"
