Reviews of Overcarswell

"I am just back from a four day stay at this cottage with my wife and four friends and felt I had to write a review. The cottage is ideally situated in the East Ayrshire countryside where we were surrounded by plentiful curious sheep and cows yet is only 30 mins from the center of Glasgow. This place is stunning, from the beautifully laid out cottage rooms (especially the mezzanine bedroom) to the smashing hot tub and decking area at the rear of the premises. The cottage is well stocked with all necessities and the owners even threw in plenty of wood for the wood burning stove. The owners welcomed us on arrival and then left us to our own devices, which really suited us. Just to add to the whole experience the weather even cleared up and we had sunshine for the majority of the stay. all in all I would give this a 10 out of 10 and really recommend you to give it a try."

"Beautiful, homely well equipped cottage, great location, felt isolated but not to far to amenities. Girls weekend and everyone loved the hot tub. Cottage very cosy with log burner."

"A Beautiful cottage located in an quiet country location with supermarkets etc just 15 minutes away if you need best of all worlds. From the warmest welcome from a lovely lady and Buddy the farms smiley dog, to the outstanding quality and comfort in the cottage. the pictures do not do it justice. immaculately clean with every thing you could wish for from dog towels to fly zapper, fully equipped Kitchen. the cottage is spacious and comfortable and even a work acholic like me could not resist in relaxing. With coastal areas and historic sites as well as a large trout fishery near by this is a perfect base for day tripping around the west of Scotland. the only thing I would have changed about this venue is to double the length of my stay. Thank you to a wonderful host. We are already scheduling to re-book"
