"The weather was really very bad indeed, so it was a good excuse to relax, do the crossword, watch box sets etc. in front of a lovely wood burning stove, enjoying the paintings. Being right beside the canal was great, and we did manage one very windy walk along its banks. Lunch at the Crinan Hotel was a great treat and view from the Gallery Bar was outstanding. "

"Scottish scenery is changeable from region to region. This part tends to be more green and lush. Different types of walks which suits the less adventurous walker and of course the area is steeped in history and archaeology. Cottage owner was informative and helpful and as she lived locally could be contacted easily if required. "
