Bruan is a wonderfully presented cottage with an elevated position overlooking the harbour at Rothesay. It comprises seven bedrooms; a ground floor bedroom with en-suite walk in shower, basin and WC, super king-size double with en-suite walk-in shower, double basin and WC, a double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, two second floor doubles, two second floor singles. There are two bathrooms and a ground floor cloakroom, followed by a kitchen, dining room, sitting room with open fire, first floor sitting room with open fire, first floor study, second floor games room and a sun room. To the outside is off-road parking for three cars and an enclosed back garden with a summer house. Bruan is a fabulous holiday home for large groups, on the Isle of Bute.

"Do stay here: -if you are a smaller group planning to stay in rooms on first 2 floors (3 double bedrooms) -if you don't have younger children in your group. -if you are prepared to take photos upon arrival and when leaving to secure your deposit (including upholstery and mattresses) Don't stay here: -if you expect gas central heating in all bedrooms (3rd floor doesn't have gas central heating - 4 out of the 7 bedrooms). -if you expect your large group to all have showers in the mornings (old water system doesn't hold for this). -if you have smaller children in your group. There's a steep staircase to third floor which has large gaps in it (covered by owners with netting to 'make safe'). Also kids stood on dog mess in garden. -you don't want headache or stress of dealing with property management company and owners to seek general info about recycling etc. -you don't want further headache of being accused of wrongdoing (take photographs before leaving especially of mattress/upholstery)."
