Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, offering a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs, surrounded by some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, whose house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust, and there's also a statue of Peter Pan in the town centre. Kirriemuir also offers an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle.

"Had a wonderful holiday in this cosy farmhouse in beautiful Glen Clova - we didn't leave the valley for the whole week. It had a very well equipped kitchen with a fab 4 oven Aga. The rooms were all very spacious and comfortable. There was wonderful walking on the hills and up at Glen Doll. LOVED EVERYTHING, would definitely return."

"We had a very relaxed week. Loved the walks around cottage and the woods were great nearby for the dogs. The log fire was lovely and the cottage extremely warm and cosy. No negatives at all, would recommend it to anyone. Amazing big old farmhouse, ideal for family get togethers."
