Mulranny is a seaside village situated between Clew Bay and Blacksod Bay in County Mayo. The area is noted for its walking and cycling facilities and is home to a variety of interesting flora and fauna with the seashore fringed by Mediterranean heath, a plant which, in Ireland, is restricted to County Mayo. Angling enthusiasts can enjoy shore fishing or sea angling while Mulranny also boasts a beautiful Blue Flag beach.

The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

"The cottage was perfect, the weather was perfect, the people were perfect. Everything we've come to expect from Mayo and more. The cottage was lovely, clean and well furnished, the beds were so comfy and the rooms were all a good size. The location had beautiful views and was well maintained. We had lovely weather and there's loads to do in the area so while we weren't there as much as we would have liked we were happy to spend evening in as well as out sampling the local hospitality. We will be booking again soon."
