Reviews of Greaneys Gates

"The cottage is exactly as it is advertised. It is in very good repair on a quiet road in the middle of the Irish countryside. My sisters and I stayed here for nine nights and loved it completely. The owner, Mike, is wonderful. He showed us the entire house and how to use the appliances (hob, double oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer) as well as the wi-fi, which worked very well. The large country kitchen was great for early morning coffee and late evening dinners. The patio was especially nice to sit on at the end of the day with a glass of wine. The cottage grounds have lovely flowering bushes. We walked on the trail outside the house and found there are dairy farms all around. There were occasional passersby, usually in the morning and the evening. Otherwise, the trail was empty. Greaneys Gates is centrally located for day trips to The Ring of Kerry, Dingle, The Cliffs of Moher, Limerick (Bunratty Castle), Adare, and Killarney Park. By the end of our stay, the cottage felt like home. If you are looking for a place in the Irish countryside away from the flood of tourists and buses, I highly recommend Greaneys Gates."

"When we arrived at the house Mike`s daughter had left out scones and jam for us (nice touch). There were clean towels ready in the bathrooms and in the kitchen press were teabags and coffie. Its nice after travelling to be able to sit down and relax with a cup of tea and not have to go out for shopping first. "

"Greany Gates was a roomy and beautiful cottage, in a central area to explore the south west of Ireland. The host was very helpful, with explanations of how everything worked. As a host the owner did an outstanding job, and took the time to make us feel really welcome. I can't say enough about the roominess of this place, and the efforts made to make us feel at home."

"This house was amazing to rent. The ease of which we were able to contact the owner, the beauty of the house, all the amenities it provided, and it's location made this a perfect place to rent. The house has every type of appliance you would need, ( washer, dryer, dishwasher) it was close to town ( about a five minute drive, at most), it was absolutely beautiful and well kept. There is a 20 kilometer walking trail behind the house that was perfect for walks with our family. Most importantly, the owner is everything you would want in a host. He met us in town and guided us to the house. He made us feel incredibly welcome and made sure we knew where everything was and how everything worked. He was absolutely the perfect host and we can't wait to rent here again. Our family loved our time here."
