Reviews of Geoghegans Cottage

"Two of us spent three lovely nights and four days in this cottage. Ideal for a couple who want to get away from the city and locate themselves in the Irish midlands. The cottage is a relatively short drive to Kilkenny and the Slieve Bloom mountains. The cottage itself is very cosy - we loved the double four poster bed which is deceivingly large. The log burning stove was a highlight for us - we sat in at night listening to the wind and feeling as cosy as 'bugs in rugs'. The lady who owns the cottage had the fire lighting when we arrived and had left us some wine and some breakfast things. During our stay she was available by phone to give any advice we required - she also let us check out much later than we should have which meant we had an extra long sleep in on our last day. The cottage has everything you need to self cater and has plenty of books and maps to help you navigate the local area. We will be back!"
