Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Shared front lawned area. Private front patio with furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: Owners' chickens and friendly dogs roam freely around the grounds, dogs to be kept under control at all times. Note: First floor bedroom accessed via steep stairs, room has low ceiling and no door.

Freshford is an historic village in county Kilkenny, originally the site of a 7th century monastary, now a pleasant base centred around a tree-lined square. The city of Kilkenny is easily reached, and the beautiful countryside of the county is waiting to be explored.

"We stayed at this wonderful cosy cottage over Christmas and had a wonderful time there. The kitchen is really well equipped and best of all they accept pets! The weather was really cold for our stay but apart from the regular heating, every room had extra heaters in them so we were really cosy. The cottage is just 15 minutes from Kilkenny city, and for necessities, there is a lovely supermarket in Freshford village nearby. We will be back!"

"The owners were on site and very helpful in every manner. I enjoyed the location and it allowed for walks in a nice country setting. The location was close to Kilkenny and made for easy travel to Kilkenny and further excursions. The very friendly owners made you feel welcome."
