Sitting off the coast of the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry is the island of Valentia. Accessed by bridge from Portmagee or by ferry from Reenard Point, this island has nothing between it and the east coast of North America except for the wild Atlantic Ocean. Valentia is famed for the breathtaking 'Fogher' sea cliffs, which rise from the sea on the north of the Island as well as the Tropical Gardens of Glanleam House. The village of Chapeltown is centrally located and is just a short drive from the islands main village, Knightstown which is home to a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs as well as being the departure point for the numerous fishing boats and sightseeing excursions.

County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.
