Reviews of Ballyduff

"This is a very comfortable, beautiful house in a very beautiful setting. This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The owners are friendly and accommodating."

"Chris and Lesley are charming hosts and very helpful. We stayed here for a fortnight while visiting the ring of Kerry, the Dingle peninsula, and various other sights. Chris built this traditional exterior cottage himself, a fine achievement. The interior is modern and designed for people with disability as there are wide doors and a wet room. Sadly the planning authority insisted he installed fire doors on vicious hinges rather than the sliding doors he wanted. the result makes it difficult for a wheelchair user but he kindly removed the springs to make life easier. Equipment levels are OK but there might be more place mats and crockery. The cottage is rural, approached up a farm track with two gates to pass through. A low slung vehicle would be a problem. One attraction for children is the two donkeys and horses and Lesley is very happy to bring the to children to pet or even ride. Interestingly Chris, an expert builder is constricting a beehive traditional one room stone cottage for singles nearby. It is modelled on ancient buildings seen on the dramatic Skellig Michael off Valentia Island in Kerry the site of an early Christian monastery. Would be hermits will soon be able to book in!"

"Lovely spacious accommodation. The owner went out of her way to make us very comfortable ! Nothing was too much trouble ! Excellent instructions provided on how to use the washing machine , cooker , tv etc ! 3 lovely double rooms and spacious kitchen / living room ! Slightly difficult to find as off the main road but once you have made the journey into nearby villages once you can easily find yourself back ! Wouldn't have found the place if the owner didn't meet us ! However she will always arrange to meet you to show you the way ! Lovely quiet place away from the town. Will hopefully return!"
