Location

Rockfield House lies on the owner's working livestock farm, just two miles from Moycullen and ten miles from Galway. The cottage is a detached, ground floor cottage that can sleep four people in three bedrooms. The bedrooms consist of one twin and two doubles, both of which have en-suite showers. The cottage also has another shower room, a well equipped fitted kitchen with dining area and a cosy and very welcoming sitting room that has an open fire and countryside views. The rear lawned garden with furniture is perfect to relax in after a busy day exploring the area and there is the added bonus of off road parking for two cars. The area around Moycullen has plenty to offer such as walking, fishing, golfing and fantastic beaches. Rockfield House is an ideal base for families or friends that want to enjoy the many outdoor activities available.

The pretty area around Moycullen provides unspoilt hamlets and villages, whilst Moycullen itself is a perfect base to tour the counties of Galway, Mayo and Clare. A short distance away are the beaches of Salthill and Spiddal and for fishing enthusiasts, the Ballyquirke and Ross lakes are ideal for coarse fishing, whilst Lough Corrib is famous for trout fishing. Attractions well worth seeing are The Connemara Marble Factory and the Celtic Crystal Factory and three excellent golf courses are nearby. A visit to this part of Ireland is not complete without a trip to the stunning Aran Islands. Moycullen is a perfect base for exploring this part of County Galway.

Towering cliffs stand next to vast stretches of golden sand, whilst vast mountain ranges cradle cool, low-lying lakes. The Galway region epitomises the term 'great outdoors'; with fantastic walking and cycling and exhilarating water sports.
