Reviews of Labasheeda

"Labasheeda is a beautiful property that has so many extras not normally found in holiday rentals. It really is a home from home and Barbara is such a lovely woman, leaving scones, milk and butter for us on arrival. The amenities in the house are second to none and there are plenty of towels and bed linen there for guests use. The location is also a perfect base to explore Connemara to the west or Galway city to the east. The town of Carraroe has a beautiful coral beach and there is places to eat and drink and a big Eurospar with everything you could need for a food shop. We have had such a lovely week and are very sad to leave. Can't recommend Labasheeda enough!"

"We are just back from a week in Carraroe. This house is very very clean, very comfortable and stylish and is equipped with all mod cons. All beds were very comfortable. Anything you need is at your fingertips. We had a lovely welcome from Barbara who made scones and brown bread for us and brought some other provisions for a cuppa. We had a request on our second day which Barbara's husband attended to without delay. We were a party of four adults and two children and there was plenty of room for us all and very comfy bedrooms and beds for all too. We will definitely stay there the next time we holiday in Connemara and would not hesitate to recommend this house to others."

"The house has everything you need and it very comfortable. Homemade treats were made for us on our day of arrival by Barbara. There was butter and milk left for us also. This is a great base to explore Connemara. There is a shed in the back where you can leave your bikes. We have stayed there 3 times now and looking forward to be back next year."

"Labasheeda house in Carraroe is a real "Home away from home". Our family enjoyed a wonderful holiday based in this comfortable, clean, well equipped house during the last week in June. Barbara (the owners sister) left us a batch of home made scones on arrival, with butter & milk. A kindly touch. We also met the owner Maureen who was friendly and welcoming. A great base for touring this part of Co Galway. Our girls loved the beach 5mins from the house. We would love to return someday, as we all thought the house was one of the best rentals we had ever stayed in!"

"We enjoyed our stay in Carraroe very much. Everthing was prepared perfectly. Coming back again after 22 years to Ireland, I have to admit that the most important thing hasn't changed: the hospitality of the Irish people. Thank you so much to the owner for the great experience being a guest in your lovely cottage. The pictures are 100% real, everything is in place, clean and in perfect condition. The location is quiet, but in walking distance to shops, pub, lakes and beaches. Great starting point for hiking tours to coral beach and other place around Carraroe. Galway and and whole Connemara is within an hour drive. "

"We can't praise our stay w/c 12 March 2016 highly enough. We really loved the house as it was so comfortable, clean and warm. We also had such a hospitable welcome from Barbara, plus home made scones when we arrived, even though it was late. The bungalow is beautiful and so well equipped that we wished we had the opportunity to spend a little more time relaxing there. As the weather was unbelievably settled, warm & sunny, we spent more time out and about sightseeing than we had anticipated would be possible. Thank you to the Connemara weather gods. May be we will be able to arrange a return visit and enjoy such a lovely property and location once again before too long. Thanks again - Zoe & Dave"
