Reviews of Lough Eske House

"Loved Lough Eske House. Peaceful, relaxing and idyllic. Beautiful views. I agree with previous guests it could do with a deep clean and a review of all plates and utensils.I would do this with my sisters for a free week! Sorry we did not meet Bridgeen, she sounds lovely! I feel it would be best for owner to clear fridge and all food, herbs etc when previous guests leave as no way of knowing how long they are there and not everyone likes using stuff from other people. There was also lots of dirty and chipped cups i would throw out. Great for kids with games books etc. Like other guests sorry i could not use bath because of brown water. The bedroom views were fabulous. I have recommended to many!"

"Spent a week at Lough Eske House. The house is set in a beautiful location with stunning views over Lough Eske and the Bluestack Mountains. It's a very spacious well equipped house and the huge bathtub and jacuzzi bath are lovely extras. The huge bed in the master bedroom is so comfortable. Plenty of coal left for the fire. Plenty of towels and beds freshly made up. Could do with a deeper clean. The oven smoked really badly due to caked on dirt which kept setting off the smoke alarm right above it. Microwave, fridge and sink not the cleanest. However these were minor issues and we really enjoyed the space throughout our week. The neighbours' dogs and cats come for visits which is very sweet. We visited Donegal town, took the waterbus tour and checked out all the beaches in the area. All in all we were sorry to leave and would definitely recommend the house to anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside retreat."

"Lough Eske House was absolutely beautiful. It was very warm and welcoming on arrival, around 3pm Saturday 24th March 2018. It was the start of a very bad week, weather wise, for nearly the whole of Ireland. We had a few skiffs and that was it, we couldn't have picked a better place to be. The 4 bedrooms were amazing, 2 were un-suite and 2 family bathrooms as well, 1 with a jacuzzi. The kitchen had every utensil you would need, plus dishwasher and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. We were spoilt by the fuel left to light the fire if we wanted..(1 in each of the 2 sitting rooms). The oil heating was a joy as the temperatures plummeted outside, we were very snug inside. Donegal Town itself was only 6km away and such a quaint and lovely town it is. Thank you Bridgeen for letting your lovely home, it was a real pleasure staying there. "
