The interior also offers a bathroom, a ground floor shower room, an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with open fire, as well as a second sitting room with a woodburning stove and a sun room. To the exterior is ample off-road parking, a decked area with garden furniture, a second patio area and a large lawned area with seating. The Schooner offers spacious accommodation with fabulous countryside views and glimpses of the sea in the distance.

Goleen sits on the south-western tip of Ireland, in County Cork, offering four pubs, two shops, a petrol station and a fast food restaurant, helping to cater for the tourists who visit the village each year. Just four miles away is the large Blue Flag sandy beach at Barley Cove, while a little further on the visitor centre at Mizen Head is well worth a visit. Activities in the area include golf, horse riding, walking, angling, sailing, diving, birdwatching and surfing, while further afield the market town of Skibbereen offers a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
