Reviews of Silver Birch

"If you're after a relaxing & hassle free holiday then this is the place for you. Thomas was easy to contact to arrange collecting the keys, he met us upon our arrival and showed us around the property. Thomas has bought us cake, biscuits and milk and provided us with tea, coffee, sugar, information leaflets about attractions in the local area and himself had a wealth of knowledge about what to see and do. One of the biggest selling points of this cottage that convinced us to book here is that it has free WIFI. In this day and age, especially having a teenage son, it's an essential! The cottage had been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival and was spotless. We had no issues with the property throughout our stay and were very pleased with it indeed. I highly recommend staying at this property if you are looking to visit County Clare. Its location is perfect for touring. We visited Galway City in the North and Loop Head lighthouse in the South (where we saw 30+ dolphins off of the cliffs!). In summary, if you're visiting County Clare stay at Silver Birch, you won't be disappointed."

"This is the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. Everything we needed throughout the week had been thought of and was available in the cottage. The cottage is spacious and well set out, providing plenty of options for people to have some privacy to relax or socialise together. With three children, the outside space was a massive plus for us, allowing the kids to let off steam safely. The cottage is really well located for accessing a broad range of tourist attractions. During our stay we visited Kilrush, Kilkee, went to the beach and surfing at Lahinch, dolphin watching at Carrigaholt, the Burren (and father Ted's house), the alpacas at Loop Head and the walled garden at Vandeleur. There is lots to do within a reasonable drive making it a great base for a family holiday. Thomas was really helpful too, nothing was too much trouble including constructing and delivering a barbecue for us!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the cottage."

"What a great holiday cottage! This house is sparkly clean, and so comfortable, everything you need is there, great well equipped kitchen, utility room, a playroom, TVs, nice furniture, and comfy beds. The deck is a great place to spend an hour as the sun goes down.... Thomas who looks after the house is very friendly and helpful, and even left a freshly baked apple tart and biccies when we arrived! It is very well located for exploring West Clare and its many attractions, like Loop Head, Doonbeg, Kilkee, the Cliffs of Moher etc and there is a small supermarket in Cooraclare with bigger shops close by in Kilrush. We will definitely visit again!!!"
