"Stunning location, so very peaceful too. There's a games room and swimming pool. If you're looking to get away from it all, this has to be a must"

"There's a reason people don't write reviews for this piece of luxury, it's because it is so good that no one else wants to tell you where it is. Went with my best friend and upon arrival were greeted tremendously and shown around the tack room, we were very surprised at the free biscuits and local juice given to us from a long journey up North. The pool was great to just soak in and we used it every evening, fortunately being the only people there for the whole week, but even then the area is so peaceful. Driving there is not a problem either, and a very short drive to get into town for takeaways and local stores. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone that wants to travel around that area with the motorways only 10 minutes away."

The games room had everything you needed for a relaxing break. My children spent most of their time in the pool or in the games room playing pool, table tennis or choosing one of the many games and activities available. We have stayed in lots of cottages over the last few years and this is the best cottage we have ever stayed in."

The property and owners catered well for a dog accompanying guests (as did the local pubs where you could get a meal with the dog). The swimming pool was a really lovely addition to the property. "What a fantastic little house this is, but with there being 3 in the group it is perfect for larger families or groups of friends going away together. It is approx 1 mile from the town we found the road very quiet so no problem walking in for a little drink. Also a few hundred yards from the house is a fantastic farm shop, you must try the Lamb and Mint Pie!!! Our son is 11 so having the pool and games room was brilliant. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this house at all. We had a great time."

The pool and games room kept the children happily occupied so I could get some afternoon naps to combat the jet-lag. The cottage is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated throughout, and it's apparent that great consideration has gone into providing everything guests need for a relaxing holiday. We loved absolutely everything about The Tack Room, it was the most peaceful and relaxing retreat to come home to at the end of a day's exploring."
