Reviews of Westdale

"This cottage is delightful. It's cosy and comfortable and has been recently refurbished to a good standard. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is even a log burner in the living room, although we found that the central heating was all that we needed. There are great views across towards the Black Mountains from the upstairs window. In all, for anyone wanting to stay in one of the best parts of the Malvern Hills we can strongly recommend it."

"On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and cozy this cottage was. Its well kitted out and with stunning views. However we started having issues with the heating from the first day. Although it was August the nights were chilly and with the wooden windows we needed the heating on but it was not working and the boiler had an error light on. We complained and they came out and reset it a couple of times but throughout our stay it was unreliable and needed looking at by a professional. We also had problems with the lights downstairs not working properly, the T.V. not changing channels and you ended up with a black screen and the sound of the previous channel. Finally the electric shower would stop working every couple of days and on the last full day it stopped working and they were unable to come out to repair until after we were due to leave. I got the impression they had just given up trying to fix all the issues we had.. Not to mention the parking... It says in the description it has parking for two cars. Well, it has a very short drive which you can just about squeeze a small car onto if you can manage a very tight turn up a steep slope .. Not ideal when you have a car full of luggage.. All in all a very nice property but spoil by lack of maintenance."
