Reviews of Town Mill

"Stayed here last wk & was flooded out in early hours of the morning. No prior warning was given by Sykes cottages or the owners that this house had flooded on more than one occasion in the past. There was nothing to counter any floods it was just Russian Roulette on which unlucky occupant would get the full force next time.I have struggled with the owner & Sykes cottages to be reimbursed for our personal losses in the flood & they told me to seek recompense through our own insurers as theirs did not cover it.Initially they were reluctant to refund the holiday cost as well but I persisted.Next time their claim may not just be for lost personal items but for a loss of life.."

"Stayed here for a week in March for a family birthday get together. The cottage is spacious and welcoming . Set in a peaceful garden on edge of the forest . Awoke to the dawn chorus and the sound of the stream at the bottom of the garden . The house is very well equipped with all necessary utensils crockery etc. In the lounge large comfortable sofas with plenty of snuggle blankets and an amazing log burner . The enormous beds are also very comfortable with good quality towels and bed linen , all bedrooms nicely presented each with there own individuality . The owners had gone the extra mile with milk in the fridge on arrival with the bonus of a delicious cake and wine too . We all had a wonderful time In this beautiful house ."
