Reviews of Downs View

"Much bigger than expected, cosy feel to the place. Ideal as a base when visiting local attractions such as Longleat or Westbury White Horse. Lovely touch of welcome gift from owners of fresh scones, jam and cream and a pint of milk in the fridge."

"What a delightful place. Much bigger than the pictures make it seem, with gorgeous views and a cosy feel. We had a couple of little issues with the place but nothing major, and they were completely overshadowed by the lovely property and brilliant job Sylvia had done getting it ready for us From the Coffee and Walnut cake (which I couldn't eat due to allergies but am assured was delicious by everyone else as they smugly chowed down on it) to the fresh, clean sheets and towels it was well presented and a place I'd be happy to go back to. We had one major problem on the saturday with water not draining in one of the bathrooms but I called Sylvia and she sent her husband round less than 5 minutes later to fix the issue, I couldn't of asked for better service. Thank you for the lovely time The Bedfordshire lot"

"All booking and pre travel arrangements were handled very professionally with helpful directions at the end of the trip. Sylvia very kindly provided us with scones, jam & cream, enough for 9. The property was very large and the photos do not do it justice, it consisted of 2 double rooms, 1 twin and 1 family room with a double and a single bed, a large living room a large kitchen with 2 utility rooms one ideal for the dogs. The twin room was situated at the rear of the property with a shower room and toilet right next to it forming a separate annexe. The garden was large enough for our 2 small dogs to stretch their legs & fully enclosed, but there is a gateway into the field at the rear of the property which we used for their daily walks, we did not have to use their leads once, brilliant. The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil or pot or pan you could want. Ideally located for many towns, but on a quiet B road a few miles off of the A303."
