The property is central to many tourist locations such as Salisbury, Bath, Stonehenge, Avebury and Shaftesbury. Stourhead House and Gardens is just a few minutes drive away and Longleat is just a short drive away too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Dairy Barn for a rural holiday retreat. "We chose this property because it was central to many of the places we wanted to visit (Bath, Salisbury, Westbury, Avebury, Shaftesbury & Stonehenge). The barn is very well equipped and it was lovely and warm (it has underfloor heating). There is a large, well equipped kitchen, a cosy snug area, an airy bathroom with a large shower and separate bath, along with a double bedroom. Outside there is a private patio/garden area off the kitchen and open plan parking to the front of the property. The barn is set within a small complex of 6 heritage dwellings, but there is ample privacy and the property isn't overlooked. The setting is rural, peaceful and pleasant. The Dairy Barn exceeded our expectations and we'd have no hesitation in booking the property again."

"The Barn has been converted into a holiday home with no expense spared in order to make it comfortable and good to stay in. Being used to a superking size bed at home it would have been nice to have had one there, but that being said the bed was very comfortable. The owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming but were not intrusive. There is lots to do in the local area, with a number of National Trust properties within easy reach and plenty of small and large towns to visit not too far away. The local small town of Mere has a fish and chip shop, coop and Indian takeaway."

"Our stay did not disappoint. The Dairy Barn is even better than in the photos. The place looks brand spanking new and is beautifully maintained and incredibly comfortable. The owners are truly lovely and live next door but leave you alone unless you need their help. It's wonderfully quiet and set in the most beautiful surroundings. We took our dog who enjoyed the garden and near-by fields. The only negative comment is that watching the big telly in the living room at night isn't very comfy due to uncomfortable seating. We were pre-warned that we might not get a good signal on our phones and infact we didn't get any signal unless we drove out of the area but there is a landline if you need it . We really look forward to visiting again as we have fallen in love the place."
