Reviews of The Log Cabin

"We recently spent 5 nights in this lovely accommodation and it suited us perfectly. It is quaint, quiet, private, clean, very well equipt and the owners were great. Nothing was too much trouble. I was amazed to hear that the couple who stayed previously had 3 dogs. There was absolutely no sign of this when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning system saved us in the heat wave and the huge wide screen TV was a real bonus. We loved having our coffee on the little porch each morning and wandering across the car park to visit the 2 beautiful ponies that are stabled there. The closest amenities are approximately 2 miles away so a car is definitely recommended. Having said that, it is situated less than an hour from Bath, about the same to Cotswolds Wildlife Park (a must visit destination if you are in the area) and just 20 minutes from Swindon. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again if we are ever in the area."

"Wife, Dog, and me took a seven day break in one of two detached cabins in the grounds of the owners complex. The location is great if you want P & Q and you are willing to make your own entertainment because you have to travel to find Pubs, and Supermarkets etc., The owners provide two cabins which are very well appointed; our cabin was the smallest of the two (1 x Bedroom) next door the larger cabin (illustrated) is the better option nevertheless our residence suited us perfectly. Why then would this not suite everyone? The Cabins are located in the Car Park of a Converted Pub (The Trotting Horse) as a consequence there is no real outside space on site for you to enjoy. Also the views from the Cabins are not great as they look out on to the Car Park. On the plus side the Cabins are very clean, and very nicely appointed, seriously good bed, more or less all of what you need is provided, Free Wifi, Freeview TV, and the owners are very helpful and friendly. The owners have two Ponies stabled close by and also have Ducks and Chickens so be prepared for related noises. If we visit Wiltshire again we would have no reservations about staying here again."

"The property is modern and clean and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Take a bag of carrots for the resident ponies! The dog was also made welcome and there were plenty of places to walk them. There are local takeaways that will deliver and the nearby pubs serve excellent food."

"The Chalet is a lovely, clean kept accommodation and was great for our dog. The owner was very welcoming upon arrival at the chalet and gave us a nice showing around the accommodation. Our dog suffers with juvenile arthritis and the chalet is all 1 level which made it easy for him to get around and for us to be able to keep an eye on him. Overall, The Chalet was a great little stay and we would definitely return there again."
