Hatton's Lodge in Swindon

Welcome to Hatton's Lodge. This historic holiday home is situated in a rural location in the southern Cotswolds, near Cirencester. It sleeps up to four people very comfortably.

Accommodation

Accommodation spread across first and second floors. Entrance at Ground floor with 16 normal steps to first floor. 2 x second floor bedrooms, one with king size double, ensuite bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower, WC and washbasin, Bedroom Two with twin beds, Ensuite shower, WC and washbasin. Kitchen / Diner is on the first floor, fully equipped and with double aspect. On the second floor (there are two sections up two separate sets of normal stairs) there is a Living Room with two sofas and armchair and TV. There is a Utility/Bathroom with washing machine plus bath, shower over, WC and washbasin. Up the second set of stairs from the Kitchen, are the two bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped with electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and ample storage plus dining table and four chairs, plus TV and armchair. Living Room with TV & ample seating. Utility Room with washer dryer. Bedrooms are spacious and with period features. Bed linen and towels incl within rent. Heating and electricity included also. Outside there is a large garden with a table and seating (shown on pics) and also a new tennis court available for use. Sorry No Pets, but owner has her own dog on the premises.

Location

Hatton's Shooting Lodge is situated in classic, open rolling Cotswolds' countryside, south of Cirencester and within 45 mins of Bath. Set within the grand, main house the self catering accommodation is well presented, very clean and ideal for four people. The property is set over three floors, with the entrance at ground floor, leading upstairs to the kitchen/diner, a triple aspect room with far reaching views. The living room is on the second floor and is a good size with two sofas and armchair plus TV and DVD player. Also on the second floor, but accessed via different stairs is a quiet ante-room with sofa (good for reading) leading to the two bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a king size double bed, incredible views plus an Ensuite Bathroom, with roll top bath, separate shower, WC and washbasin. The second bedroom is a twin bed, again large and spacious; it too has an Ensuite Bathroom - shower, WC and washbasin. Outside is a large garden, shared with the owners, but with a designated area for guests. There is also a tennis court for use with arrangement with the owners.

A charm-filled market town on the eastern fringes of the Cotswolds AONB. Cirencester boasts architecture both dramatic and quaint, with its stunning church and rows of quirky cottages. Discover a number of fine shops and eateries connected by a network of attractive streets. Also discover the Corinium Museum, displaying a collection of Roman remains found locally. A choice of immaculate parks offer a memorable summertime stroll. Venture into the Costwolds AONB to discover much activity, answering to everybody's needs. The chocolate-box village of Bibury, with its renowned rows of stone cottages, is just 7 miles away. Stroud is another character-packed market town within reach, ideal for a stroll at your leisure. The city of Gloucester is dominated by striking buildings while nearby Cheltenham is best known for its horse racing festival. The Cotswolds itself offers a wealth of opportunity for avid walkers and cyclists. The Cotswold Way winds itself through rolling countryside and past a host of timeless villages. Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh are among the most notable.

Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
