"A lovely location which was very peaceful and the accommodation was great, very safe for our children."

"The owner was friendly and did not intrude despite living close by. Liked the situation of the cottage on a hillside above Todmorden so it was away from it all, but with easy access to a super local pub, and within easy driving distance of the reason for our holiday, walking the Burnley Way."

"This cottage actually has four bedrooms rather than the three that were advertised and they are all ensuite. This was a lovely surprise as I was staying with my son and three of his friends so the extra space was useful. The cottage is well equipped and lovely. The evening sun falls on the garden area and it is a lovely place for a barbecue or just to sit with a cup of tea. The neighbours, including the little Yorkshire terriers are lovely and friendly. It was a great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone with a family. Although it is in the middle of nowhere there is a little lane leading down to the town which only takes five minutes to walk."

"This was such a perfect cottage. Everything you could think of. Andy and Chris (owners) couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, also Chris's dad - a lovely gentleman. George and Mollie coming to see us each day made it feel like home as we were missing our dog and cats. I wish I could move in for ever I felt so at home. The cottage is a credit to them both. Will come again for sure."

"Stables Cottage is a beautiful old barn that has been tastefully modernised whilst retaining lots of character. The accommodation is light, bright and airy and spacious. The open plan kitchen - lounge is a lovely comfortable room for relaxing ,with a wood burner for chilly evenings, the large kitchen area is very well equipped and a breakfast bar divides the two areas. There is a separate dining room too. One of the en -suite bedrooms (a single) is downstairs - good if anyone has a problem with stairs. Upstairs there are in fact three more ( not two more as advertised) bedrooms, all en suite. The master is a lovely room with a very nice bathroom (bath with shower attachment). There is a single room and a twin room both with good shower rooms. Apart from the master the bedrooms aren`t huge but they all have storage space, a T.V. and are warm and comfortable. Outside there is plenty of parking space and two separate sitting out areas - one at the side of the cottage which is overlooked by the owners cottage and another more private area at the rear . The owners are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They run an Equestrian Centre so there are horses passing by the cottage and the stables are very near but if you aren`t interested in horses and don`t want to use the facilities it really doesn`t matter. Although there aren`t particularly good views from inside the cottage once outside the views in both directions are stunning. The property is set above the town of Todmorden and in fact it`s a 10 - 15 minute walk down to the town - it does take longer on the way back as it`s quite a steep path back up! There are plenty of other walks from the cottage too and the location is great as there are many interesting places to visit in this part of Yorkshire, and wherever you go you are surrounded by beautiful scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Stables Cottage and would really recommend it for couples or for a family."

The cottage is located in the hills above Todmorden and is ideally located for many of the places we wanted to visit. There is also a good pub within walking distance and plenty of others nearby. Cottage is very well equipped and the large full fruit bowl and wood starter pack (for the log burner) along with some milk in the fridge were all very welcome additions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage for a first class holiday. Many thanks :)"

"This is a lovely cottage and the owners have thought of pretty much everything, the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were very welcomed after a six hour car ride! Staying over October half term we thought it might be a bit on the cold side in Yorkshire however this cottage was lovely and warm. The kitchen was very well equipped, my 8 year old was very impressed with the pizza cutter!! The owners are very friendly and it was good to be able to look around the stables and see the horses. Great walks a straight out of the door and a friendly local pub within a ten minute walk. Take a torch though as it can be a dark walk back!! Overall a lovely clean, comfortable cottage which we hope to return to in the future."
