Reviews of Colden Water

"We stayed here as a party of 12 for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. The cottage is simply beautiful and fulfilled our every need. The far reaching views and stream running along side makes it all the more appealing. The weather was typical February, cold and wet, even some snow but it really didn't matter, we had everything we needed at the Cottage. A few of the party did venture out for a few bracing walks and found May's shop over the hill,? worth a walk as we were advised it is the heart of the community. All the bedrooms are well equipped, very comfortable beds with plenty of storage for clothes, two family sized bathrooms upstairs and a large family shower room downstairs. The kitchen and dining area are a lovely social space, the snug is lovely and cosy for relaxing in, all with under floor heating. We didnt use either of the stoves as we were perfectly warm with the central heating. The owners had left us a welcome note with a bottle of red wine and a selection of local cheeses and crackers. Sally was great and kept in touch filling us in on the local roads as they had having bad weather before our stay. She also allowed us to arrive before the 4pm check in time and arranged for us to be able to check out at our convenience, all these touches making for a great stay. I would highly recommend this property and will hopefully be visiting again very soon."

"Absolutely recommended. I booked this lovely country house for 6 adults and two children for my fathers 60th birthday and was not disappointed. It was spotless clean on arrival with everything we needed to hand. Beds were comfortable, rooms light and well heated with underfloor heating. Hot tub spa was clean and well maintained daily. Set in beautiful Yorkshire scenery and only a couple of miles from Hebden Bridge."
