Reviews of 14 Waterside Lodges

"When we arrived, we were greeted by Tom. A bottle of wine, milk and chocolates. We were here for 4 nights. The lodge itself is lovely. The rooms x the ensuites, the walk along the canal. As a family of 2 adults and 2 children 11 & 4yr old. Along with the mother in law on this 4 day break. The only issue I have, is that the 3rd bedroom on the same level as the hot tub is only accessible from the outside. This was a huge issue for us, as we couldn't have the bedroom because we needed to be in the same part of the house as our children. And the mother in law is 72 Yr old, so walking up and down those stairs morning and night in the winter was dangerous as it was quite slippy. And the lighting wasnt good so it was so dark walking down there at night it was scary. The washing machine & dryer makes your clothes smell fusty. (not a huge issue) The dishwasher leaked a little but not on every use. Apart from those few things it's a beautiful place. The new lodges will be much better as they have an internal staircase. But everything else is beautiful and the beds may I add are VERY VERY COMFORTABLE."
