Reviews of Coffers

"Situated along a rural lane in the village of Coney Weston in north Suffolk, close to Thetford, Bury St.Edmunds and Diss, we had booked three nights in early March. Sally, who with her husband Keith own the property, had already been in touch to explain key collection etc. They met us as we walked to the rear of their house. We were impressed with the welcome, and they explained among other things that if we needed anything just ask. They had horses in the field to the rear of the garden, and told us that we would see them walking down the garden every morning to attend to them, but that they wouldn't be obtrusive, which we like. We entered Coffers and were immediately struck by how clean and fresh the property smelt. As we explored, I can only say that this is a 5 star property. It is excellent! All fixtures and fittings are contemporary, everything worked (we have stayed in properties where the standards are not what we would expect) and Sally and Keith had provided us with a bottle of wine, milk, chocolates and a packet of biscuits! Fresh flowers were on the lounge table. Marvellous! The lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms (there is a downstairs toilet) were first rate. Plenty of reading material, games etc. The comments in the visitors book justifiably sang Coffers praises. The television had a good signal and plenty of choice (Freeview?). There was a television in the bedroom but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi worked well. It even has it's own section of garden to the rear. Although the property is attached to the main house, it might just as well be detached such is the layout. Plenty of wildlife was on offer. Coffers is dog friendly and we had planned to bring our dog but didn't in the end. However, there was plenty of evidence that our dog would have been very happy. All in all, a great weekend. We will hopefully return."

"This was one of the most perfect holidays we have had in a long time, albeit the weather was not as we would have liked, but that did not stop us going anywhere. The owners are a lovely couple who have a wonderful, spotlessly clean cottage. They had thought of every thing to make our stay a very happy one. The wildlife in the garden was amazing; deer, squirrels, owls, pheasants and not to mention their 4 horses. Our stay was relaxing and the only thing that spoilt it was, that we had to leave it all behind."

"We had a very friendly welcome at this property. The location was beautiful. We were central for many locations in Suffolk and Norfolk. The accommodation was ideal and all aspects of the annexe were wonderful. The wildlife included squirrels, birds, deer, owls. The local shops and pubs were within walking distance. The owners have a stable with four horses and look after these animals well."

"The house is extremely well furnished in a very quiet location; the garden was amazing with a large variety of wild birds, some we've never managed to see before. The Muntjac Deers walking through the garden at breakfast time added to the charm of the property. We would definitely recommend."
