Reviews of 1 Cabin Knoll

"We stayed for 3 nights in the cottage as a stop over to explore the wonderful area. The cottage is as described, 2 double bedrooms each with ensuite, lovely log burner and nice kitchen; if you like quaint charm with beams and character you'd love it, as we did! The cottage was perfect for what we wanted. We never saw the owners but we did speak on the phone to collect the keys and they seemed very friendly. The cottage is on a farm and is lovely and quiet and away from it all - only noise was as you'd expect from a farm, which for us is part of the country life charm. Only negative would be the little bits of detail like leaving at least one toilet roll and tea towels and oven glove for the kitchen. Other than that it was lovely. Please note if you struggle with stairs this cottage probably is not for you."

"Location in the small village of Calwich. Lovely view of the Dales. Ideally situated for taking leisurely walk or jogging through the dales away from the main road traffic. Pubs less than a mile away. Ashbourne approx 5 minutes drive away. Close to Alton Towers (10 minutes drive). Good mobile phone reception. The cottage was really tastefully furnished, fast broadband internet connection, Sky HDTV with a large flat screen TV. Complementary bottle of wine and chocolate!"

"The location - the house is surrounded by lovely countryside and is very close to the Peak District. The house is very attractive, and is decorated tastefully. Having access to Sky TV and the internet (wifi) was appreciated, as was the log fire. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, the holiday was excellent, and the house was a great find. "
