Reviews of Hunter House

"Arrived early Saturday afternoon and parked car round back through gates. I have a large SUV so any car should fit quite nicely. Entered cottage and was immediately taken on how fresh and clean it was. The heating was on and it made for a nice cosy feeling. The lounge has a nice multifuel burner which is easy to light and clean afterwards. The upstairs is nicely laid out with bedrooms through the 1st two doors and the bathroom at the end of the landing. The whole cottage is very well decorated and it is very old as is quite a lot of Penistone. The owner of the cottage had put an enormous amount of effort into making this a perfect holiday home and, believe me, it works beautifully. The furniture and bed is very comfortable plus has excellent self catering facilities should that be your wish. Penistone itself is very historic and ruggedly beautiful. It is very well positioned for lots of attractions and the major cities. Also, it is easy to get to Derbyshire so you will never be lost for something to do or somewhere to go. We had a great holiday and will definitely return."

"This is the second property we have stayed in with Sykes. This cottage was very well equipped. Especially for your four legged friend. They have thought of everything. On arrival there was a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge which was most welcome after a strenuous journey. The cottage is in a ideal position handy for walks eateries and super markets. The garden is also all fenced of so your dog has plenty of room to roam. We will definitely be returning."
