Location

Close to the beautiful cathedral city of Wells, the Mendip Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Somerset Levels is the small hamlet of Yarley. Surrounded by countryside, the open landscape is ideal for outdoor sports and leisure activities such as walking, climbing, abseiling and horse riding. In Yarley is The Cider Barn, a traditional character cottage with superb views of the Mendip Hills. Three steps lead to the front door and the kitchen, through to the lounge/diner which has wooden floors, stone-faced walls and a traditional cast iron electric fire. The Cider Barn has a pretty bedroom which is open to the stairs and has windows on three sides with wonderful views. From the lounge, glazed doors open onto a small, south facing seating area with bistro table and chairs.

Yarley is near the River Axe, between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills, three miles from Wells. The surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty appeals to birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists.
