Reviews of The Granary

"Certainly recommend this detached, clean, comfortable, well equipped, relaxing and spacious cottage. Milk and delicious home made chocolate cake on arrival. Fresh home grown cut flowers in the conservatory. Lovely views from the sunny conservatory and garden, with views over the farm, including cows, hens, peacocks and ducks on the pond with fields beyond. An occasional steam train can be seen in the distance puffing along. Nice, helpful owners live in the farmhouse near the cottage IF needed but are certainly NOT intrusive"

"Choose The Granary as it was near to Son's in Upton Noble. Easy to get to from road and a warm welcome given. The Bungalow next to farmhouse had a entrance porch handy for boots and shoes. We parked right upto door which was handy as my partner had mobility problem. A lovely warm feeling when we walked into the kitchen come lounge. It's like home from home with everything you needed. Was greeted with milk and chocolate cake left for us. You can also purchase eggs from them. The bathroom was large with shower over bath and very powerful shower! The lovely bedroom suite all wood and plenty of space. Conservatory/second bedroom and dinning room looked out onto well stocked kitchen garden, greenhouse, chickens and duck pond. The best view was the cows. I watched them every morning coming out of feeding sheds to go to be milked. Very quite with odd moo. Shops only down the road at Shepton Mallet. Would recommend The Granary to all my friends and family to stay."

"We were delighted to have found such a bright and comfortable bungalow for our extended stay. We were particularly impressed by the warmth of our reception and the unobtrusive yet constant concern for our comfort and needs. Our grandchildren loved the guided tour of the dairy farm and feeding the chickens. Just a short distance down the country lane, the farm is located perfectly for touring the beautiful area and the nearby town of Shepton Mallet has everything one needs for self catering."
